The Story

Causecast came to the Groop with the challenge of building a business around charitable action and awareness. They envisioned an interactive platform that could create a juncture between philanthropy, media, education and social networking. Armed with Causecast's vision, the Groop provided creative and business strategy in building a site where celebrities, charities and users can all come together as one community.

The Results

We wanted to design a site that makes philanthropy fun. Our main goal for Causecast was to encourage users to take action by educating, informing and engaging them with the site in an entertaining way.

Causecast raises awareness for charities by creating partnerships between celebrities and causes. The site also produces and publishes media content that gives more information and background on the featured charities.

What makes Causecast different, though, is the social networking element of the site. The celebrity leaders and users come together within the Causecast community, and users are welcome to create and publish their own media on the site. Community members are also encouraged to interact with one another to help get the word out, and users are rewarded for participation within the site and the community.
